Clinicians are frequently judged by the results of their decisions. This seminar will feature a distinguished panel of speakers to share their collaborative expertise on how to restore a patient whose anterior esthetics are about to be adversely impacted as two adjacent anterior incisors are to be restored by one or two dental implants.  They may be congenitally missing as in the adolescent or adult; due to trauma, or long-term complications of growth and facial development.

The clinicians will share their expertise in diagnostics, surgical techniques and restorative analysis to solve the problems presented at the beginning of the seminar.  The audience will participate in the discussions regarding diagnosis and treatment planning.

At the end of the seminar, the participants should be able to:

1.    List the advantages of placing one versus two implants to replace adjacent anterior teeth

2.    Explain the advantages/disadvantages to maintaining ailing natural teeth versus placing dental implants.

3.    Discuss the role of growth and development plays in decision making for placing implants in the esthetic zone.

4.    Does treating the adolescent orthodontic patient require considerations for future adult facial growth in light of the current concepts of growth and facial development?
